Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW)

BASICS
Dallas-Fort Worth is located 15 miles (24 km) northwest of downtown Dallas and 20 miles (30 km) northeast of Fort Worth. The airport's solid Web site includes a terminal guide and transportation information.

TAXI
There are plenty of taxis available to either city. The fare to both Dallas and Fort Worth is about $25-$30, and the trip will take from 25 to 40 minutes.

SHUTTLE BUS
Supershuttle operates a van service to both downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, and to residential addresses in both cities. You can make a reservation in advance (817-329-2000), or just call from the courtesy telephones near the baggage claim -- dial 02 for Supershuttle.

The fare is based on the postal code of your destination, and ranges from $12 to $18 for any hotel in the downtown area. For example, a trip to the Hyatt Reunion in Dallas costs $12, and to the Worthington in Fort Worth costs $11.

The best deal to Fort Worth is the Airporter Bus Service. It departs from the airport every 30 minutes during the day. The fare to downtown Fort Worth is around $8.

There are other shuttle services from the airport and these can be called from the courtesy telephones near baggage claim.

HOTEL VAN
Many hotels have shuttle buses from the airport. Check with your hotel at the courtesy telephones near baggage claim.
