BASICS Düsseldorf Airport is located five miles (8 km) north of the city.
TAXI There are plenty of great taxis available outside the arrivals area. The metered fare to the center of town will be about 24 deutsche mark ($16) and the ride will take about 15 minutes.
TRAIN Follow the signs from the baggage claim area to the S-Bahn station in the airport. The trains leave about every 20 minutes and go to the Hauptbahnhof in the center of the city. From there you can take a very short taxi ride to your hotel. The fare for the S-Bahn is 2.80 deutsche mark ($2), and there is plenty of luggage space on board.
BUS The bus line 727 runs between the airport and downtown Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorf Main Railroad Station. Three other lines can take you to outlying areas. The bus station is in front of the Travel Agent Center.
