BASICS Geneva International is located 2 1/2 miles (4 km) northwest of central Geneva, "The Airport of Summits." The tourist information center is in the central train station.
TAXI The taxi will cost about 30-35 Swiss francs ($20-23) and take about 10 to 15 minutes -- longer than the train. You can catch a taxi right outside the arrivals terminal.
TRAIN The Swiss Rail System (SBB) is by far one of the best ways in the world to get from the airport to the city. Trains leave every 10 to 15 minutes for Cornavin Station, from 5:30 A.M. to 12:20 A.M. First class fare is about 10 Swiss francs ($6) while second-class fare is 5 Swiss francs ($3).
Travel time is just 7 minutes, and the trains are dependable and very clean, with plenty of luggage space. There are direct connections from the airport station to Neuchatel, Basel, Bern, Lucerne, Zurich, other Swiss cities, as well as cities in France and Italy.
