BASICS The airport is located 10 miles (16 km) south of the center of Manchester.
TAXI Taxis are available directly outside arrivals. Fare is metered and will be about £12 ($20) to the city center. Travel time is about 25 minutes.
TRAIN Trains run every 15 minutes directly to Manchester Piccadilly Station. The fare is £2.15 ($3) and the trip takes about 20 minutes.
BUS GM buses depart every 1/2 hour for the Piccadilly Railway Station. The fare is £1.70 ($2.50) and travel time is about 55 minutes to the center. For bus information, try the GMPTE (Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive).
