BASICS Okecie Airport is six miles (10 km) southwest of the center of Warsaw.
TAXI If you decide to take a taxi always go to the taxi stand outside of the arrivals terminal. Do not take a ride from the people soliciting riders in the terminal as you leave customs. Agree on the fare before you depart. It should be about 37-45 zlotys ($8-$10) to the city center. Some drivers will want more but you can negotiate or simply go to another cab.
BUS The Marriott offers an excellent mini-bus service to the center. The cost is a few dollars more than the Airport-City shuttle bus (see next paragraph), but you go right to the Marriott in the center by the main rail station. From the Marriott you can catch a certified taxis to your final destination. The mini-bus runs every 15 minutes from 6 A.M. to 8 P.M., and then every half hour until 10 P.M. Fare is about 22 zlotys ($5).
There is also an Airport-City shuttle bus called Budget Shuttle that goes to major hotels in the city. It costs about 13 zlotys ($3) and runs every 10-15 minutes from 4:50 A.M. to 11 P.M. You can get a ticket at the Orbis (tourist agency) counter in the arrivals hall.
